3rd Annual Summer Rockin Blues Fest
The third Annual Rockin' Blues Fest here in the heart of Massachusetts, promises to be a get-down, get-dancing celebration of what America does best. Rock and Blues. Featured headliner legendary blues man James Montgomery and his full band will kick this festival in gear with his harmonica and deep dedication to blues tradition. Set outdoors under the Ware Knights Pavilion (easily seating 400+), feeling good and sharing great music is what this Fest is all about. Down home food and refreshments are on tap for the night. This event is presented by Workshop13 Cultural Arts & Learning Center, and sponsored by The Edward and Barbara Urban Foundation. Also performing: Guitarist Barry Goudreau, former member of Boston, recently announced the formation of his new band Barry Goudreaus Engine Room. The blues/rock outfit includes his former RTZ bandmates Brian Maes on lead vocals and keyboards, as well as Tim Archibald on bass. Maes and Archibald were members of Peter Wolfs House Party Five, playing on two of his records and touring the world extensively. The band is rounded out with Old Tony Depietro on drums and Mary Beth Maes, Terri OSoro and Joanie Cicatelli on background vocals. If you're a fan of Boston and/or the Blues and Rock music in general, you can't miss this! Workshop13 is a nonprofit cultural arts and learning center that supports the development of visual, performing and expressive artists and cultivates a community that appreciates the arts.
