Buying a vehicle is a consumer’s second biggest purchase, second to buying a house. Before buying a new or used vehicle, there is homework to be done by the consumer, and many decisions to be made. Guest speaker Milagros S. Johnson from the Springfield Mayor’s Office of Consumer Information will advise attendees on ways to get the most for their money, how to avoid buying a lemon, and what to do if their newly purchased vehicle does not pass inspection or run. All reservations must be made by Saturday, October 14, 2 p.m. To register, please call the library at (413) 283-3330, ext. 100.
