About Us

Baystate Wing Hospital and Medical Centers has a rich history of caring for the health of the citizens in the Quaboag Hills and Pioneer Valley. The 74-bed hospital, established in 1913, provides a broad range of emergency, medical, surgical and psychiatric services to residents of the Quaboag Hills and Pioneer Valley.

The vision of providing outpatient health care for the community became a reality in 1968 with the opening of the Medical Center in Palmer. Additional medical centers were built to reach out to our communities in Belchertown, Ludlow, and Wilbraham.

The 58,000 square-foot Country Bank Pavilion opened in 2008 and brings a new caliber of health care to the region. This state-of-the-art facility, with its operating rooms, intensive care unit, ambulatory surgery unit, and inpatient unit, is a tangible representation of our mission.

Baystate Wing Hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, and is designated a Primary Stroke Service by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
