Warren is a rural town of 5000 people located in western Worcester County and is bisected by the Quaboag River. Warren is one of six existing towns that were first settled in 1660 and known as the Quaboag Plantation. Incorporated as Western in 1741, the town was renamed in honor of Revolutionary War General Joseph Warren in 1834.
